The Jura ENA 4 is for someone who wants a Jura in a small kitchen and drinks mostly black coffee or espresso. It is the plainest machine in our Jura comparison: a compact body only 27.1 cm wide, a 1.1 litre water tank and the AromaG3 grinder, without a stated milk system.

Our take
Compact by design
The listing gives the dimensions as 44.5 cm long, 27.3 cm wide and 32.3 cm high in one place and 27.1 cm wide in the specification table. Either way it is narrow and low enough to sit under most wall cupboards. The material is listed as plastic and the colour as black.
Weight is listed at 10.6 kg, which is solid for its size, so it will not shift when you press a button.
Grinder and extraction
Jura includes the AromaG3 grinder and its Pulse Extraction Process, abbreviated as P.E.P. on the listing. Pulse extraction is Jura's method for short drinks such as espresso and ristretto. The listing does not state the number of grind settings or how they are adjusted.
Power is listed at 1,450 W and the machine takes whole beans.
Tank and daily refills
The water tank holds 1.1 litres. For one person drinking a few espressos or small coffees a day that is enough, but long drinks will empty it quickly. The bean container size is not stated.
Keeping a filled jug near the machine makes the small tank easier to live with, and refilling little and often keeps the water fresh.
What it does not do
The ENA 4 listing does not describe a milk system or a drinks menu. If you want cappuccino or flat white at a button press, this is not the right Jura. It is listed as programmable, but the listing does not spell out which settings can be changed.
ENA 4 against the ENA 8 and E6
The Jura ENA 8 shares the compact body and 1.1 L tank but adds a fine foam milk nozzle, a TFT colour display and adjustable spouts. The Jura E6 is larger, with a colour display and programmable milk foam. The ENA 4 is the choice if you want Jura quality for black coffee in the smallest space.
Verdict
Buy the Jura ENA 4 if you drink espresso and black coffee, have little space, and want the AromaG3 grinder in a compact body. If you also want milk drinks in the same footprint, the Jura ENA 8 is the better pick, and if space is not tight, the Jura E6 gives programmable milk foam.
